¿Por qué el mundo es como es? En este sermón sobre la ira de Dios, dado en el Domingo del Armisticio basado en Efesios 5:6, el Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones reflexiona sobre las guerras mundiales y proclama la gran realidad de que todos están o bien en el reino de Cristo, con la promesa de una herencia de gloria, o fuera del reino y bajo la ira de Dios. Desde la caída del hombre, la humanidad ha sido engañada por palabras vanas sobre esta realidad. La humanidad moderna ha ido eliminando gradualmente el concepto de pecado y maldad, reemplazándolo con explicaciones y tratamientos psicológicos. Por esto, Dios revela Su ira, Su odio establecido hacia el pecado, de varias maneras: desde la condenación de la conciencia, hasta los sufrimientos que provienen del pecado, hasta entregar a las personas a su propio pecado (Romanos 1). Sin embargo, Su ira no es solo una realidad presente, sino también una realidad futura segura.
